Pre-departure Orientation Meeting for Ukrainian EMJMD winners (6-7.07.2018, Kyiv)
On 6-7 July 2018 Pre-Departure Orientation meeting traditionally took place in Kyiv, Ukraine in the premises of the EU Delegation to Ukraine.
40 newly selected master students from Ukraine and 3 alumni actively participated in its orientation program. The agenda of the event included 2 intense days full of presentations, experience sharing sessions, meetings with Embassies and an intercultural training.
Mr. Hugues MINGARELLI, the Head of the Delegation of EU to Ukraine, welcomed students and congratulated them with new position of Ambassadors of Ukraine. After this, David STULIK, the Press and Information Officer, talked about the future of cooperation between the EU and Ukraine, emphasizing the role of youth in it.
NEO-Ukraine manager Kateryna ZHDANOVA provided presentation on additional opportunities within Erasmus+ during the EMJMD course and after their completion within the Erasmus+, as well as with other opportunities for funding the academic, inter-university and scientific activities.
Participants also had a unique chance to talk to the representatives of the EU Embassies, including Spain, Portugal, Italy, the UK, the Netherlands, Austria, Finland and Czech Republic. However, there was a Q&A session, where students got answers on many organizational questions related to national visas, internal regulations and cultural differences. Students have gained practical skills and knowledge necessary to start their EM study smoothly.
Improved knowledge of the Erasmus+ for beneficiaries (organisations and individuals). Useful materials about the Erasmus+ and promo materials were disseminated.
